A Florilegium: Sheffield's Hidden Garden

The book includes over 100 colour illustrations from the beautiful artwork held in the Florilegium Society’s Archive. 67 of the illustrations are featured accompanied by a plant profile to highlight the plant’s history, geographical location, botany and uses.

An introduction to florilegia dating from the early herbals and a history of the Society's Herbarium and the Gardens themselves is also given. Sheffield Botanical Gardens are a much-loved venue in the heart of the city,  enjoyed by visitors and the people of Sheffield.
