Membership

The Florilegium Society welcomes new members who all join initially as Associate Members. There is no selection procedure. Those wishing to offer their support but are not be able to attend regular meetings or submit drawings are also welcome to join. Supporting members are a valued group of the Society's friends.

Botanical artists that have joined as Associate Members have the opportunity to submit their artwork to the Selection Panel once a year to be reviewed for entry into the Florilegium Archive. They can submit multiple artworks that meet the application guidelines. When their first illustration is accepted, Associate Members become full Members. When three or more illustrations are accepted into the Archive, Members become Fellows of the Society.

The Florilegium Society hosts an annual programme of events that usually take place on a Monday. Painting days, lectures and workshops are held at the Dorothy Fox Education Centre at Sheffield Botanical Gardens. Depending on availability, lectures and workshops are made open to non-members for an additional fee and are posted on our Events page.
